I have one long story and three short stories all active and unfinished (we won't talk about the unfinished ones that I haven't touched in who knows how long) and all I can think of is a brand new idea for something which feels at least novella length. Bah. Maybe I can get away with writing down the paragraph which is at the core of the idea and setting it aside for now...

Yes, that's true. I'm a bit hung up on finishing stuff right now, because I'm writing again after a few years of not writing, and I'm actually finishing long pieces now, which I never used to do--I have all these super short and awfully silly snippets from way back when. So I'm all focused on being a new and better writer... But I did write a couple paragraphs.
